Log your sets fast. See your strength go up.
An interface built for chalked hands and crowded weight rooms. Log a set with one tap, work out the plates for the bar in seconds, track personal records and let the rest timer run on its own.
Record each set without breaking your rhythm.
Typing numbers between heavy sets costs focus. Forgade fills each set with the numbers from your last session, tags warm-ups and drop sets with one tap, and works out the plates for each side of the bar.
-
Set types: Mark sets as warm-up, working, drop set or to failure, so working volume stays separate from warm-ups. Sets can be reps, bodyweight, weighted or timed, with a stopwatch or a countdown. An exercise starts the way you last used it.
-
Last session next to each set: The weight and reps from your last workout sit right above the input: you know the number to beat before you unrack the bar.
-
Plate calculator: Enter the target weight and pick the bar (20, 15, 10 or 8 kg): Forgade shows the plates per side, from 25 kg down to 0.5 kg.
-
RPE: Log the rate of perceived exertion from 0 to 10, in half points, to record how close each set came to failure.
Rest as long as you planned. No more, no less.
Too little rest costs strength on compound lifts; too much turns a 45-minute workout into two hours. The countdown starts the moment you tick a set and tells you when it's time to lift.
-
Starts when you tick the set: No extra buttons: tick the set and the timer is running.
-
Rest per exercise: Three minutes for squats and deadlifts, 90 seconds for dumbbell rows, 60 for lateral raises.
-
Sound and notification: When rest is over, a sound with vibration and a notification tell you to lift, even with the phone in your pocket.
-
Quick adjust: Add or remove 15 seconds with one tap, or jump to a preset from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Find the exercise in seconds, by muscle or by equipment.
In a powerlifting gym or in a hotel room with two dumbbells: filter more than 1,300 exercises by muscle and by the equipment you have.
-
Muscle filters: Chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, forearms, core, quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, calves.
-
Equipment filters: Barbell, dumbbell, cable, machine, Smith machine, kettlebell, bands or bodyweight.
-
How to do it: Step-by-step instructions, tips, and the primary and synergist muscles. Exercise names and instructions in 24 more languages besides English.
-
Your own exercises: Add the machine at your gym or a variation the library doesn't have.
Plan your split. Run it set by set.
Build routines for each training day with supersets, target reps and a warm-up ramp. Write them yourself, or ask the Coach to propose one: it's saved only if you approve it.
-
Training days: Push, Pull, Legs, Upper, Lower, Full Body or your own days, each on a day of the week.
-
Supersets: Pair two exercises as A1/A2 and alternate them set by set.
-
Warm-up calculator: Ramp-up sets worked out from your working weight, so the first heavy set never comes cold.
-
Bring your history: Import past sessions from Strong, Hevy or FitNotes with a CSV file, and export them as FIT with a line for each set.
See in the numbers whether you're getting stronger.
Strength and hypertrophy need load and volume that go up over time. Forgade charts your progress, estimates your one-rep max on every set and keeps your personal records.
-
Estimated 1RM: The Epley formula estimates your one-rep max from your working sets, without having to test it.
-
Load per muscle: Each muscle group's share of your load over 30 days and its relative load over 90 days, to spot imbalances before they stall progress.
-
Personal records: For every exercise: heaviest weight, most reps, best estimated 1RM and highest volume.
-
Balance between muscle groups: Check that chest, back, quads and hamstrings get their share of the work.
Made for basements and garage gyms.
Many gyms are underground, with no signal. Forgade keeps everything in a database on the phone and works without a connection.
-
No signal needed: Open a routine, look up an exercise, log your sets and finish the session in airplane mode.
-
Saved at once: Every set is saved on the phone straight away: no loading spinners, no timeouts. If the app closes halfway, the session is still there.
-
Optional cloud copy: On the Pro plan you can turn on a cloud copy of your activities and gym sessions, to browse the activities from the web portal and to share sessions with your team's trainer if you choose. It stays off unless you turn it on.
-
Session summary: Finish a session and see total volume, sets, reps, heart rate and the PRs you just set.
Lift heavy without wrecking your weekend long run.
Most gym apps ignore your endurance training, and most running and cycling apps know nothing about your squats. Forgade puts both together, so leg day doesn't cost you the weekend.
-
One reading of fatigue: The Coach reads your squat volume next to your endurance load (CTL, ATL, TSB) before it proposes a long session.
-
Recovery per muscle: See how recovered your legs are before intervals, hills or a long session.
-
A balanced week, on request: Ask the Coach to put upper-body days before your long weekend session. It proposes the week; nothing changes until you approve.
-
One calendar: Runs, rides and gym sessions in the same calendar.
